Politically Convient Totals

Aside from the typically constant skewing of statistics to fit the everyday needs by our politicians and media whores, its the reversal of policy when reporting war casualties since the media darling has been occupying the White house.
I use to work for KHON fox 2, during the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and i never saw a total number for the deaths of Taliban or AL Queda insurgents, however not a night would go by where good old Joe Moore (whom i respect) read the news, which was force fed through the teleprompter, enumerating the death total of US soldiers. Yet, never, do i recall hearing or seeing telecasted numbers of insurgent casualties. Naturally there was a reason for this. One the producers of the local news are "20-nothings" fresh out of Germalism School with their teeth sharpened to take meaningful bites out of the system that granted them the freedoms they spit upon now, and fingers at the ready to produce more propaganda against the current administration, Bush. It seemed quite clear to me, that the media was cheering every death hiding their true emotions with dead pan stares as they deliver the solemn news right before the commercial breaks.(It should be noted that Joe Moore ((pictured to the left)) never took pleasure or delight in announcing the deaths of American soldiers, because Joe 's father was in the army and Joe Himself, is a veteran of the US ARMY, unlike 99% of the talking heads on your boob tube)
Me, i spent hours upon hours trying to express this point of view to the news director, the General Manager and "reporters" themselves. To which i received cold scoffs as of to say, "Get with the program". It is fair to say i fought enough against the news systematically celebrating the deaths of soldiers and undermining their efforts with release of the Abu Griab story as just one example (thank you very much dan rather), because my protests against bias media led to my dismissal.
Now that Barry is in office, can anyone tell me about or point out, one link to one bloody news story from the lamestream media that tallies the death total of US soldiers since the chosen one has been anointed?
